2025 Young Scholars Grant Application

 

The North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology (NASPAG) has established the Young Scholars Grant to provide an opportunity for advanced practice nursing students (nurse practitioners and nurse-midwives), physician assistant students, and physicians-in-training (medical students, residents, and fellows) to express and explore their interest in the field of pediatric and adolescent gynecology.

We would like to invite students to apply for the grant by submitting an essay on one of the topics listed below:

GUIDELINES FOR APPLICANTS

  • Your essay should be no longer than three double-spaced typewritten pages in 12-point Times New Roman font.
  • 4 winners (3 Physician-in-Training and 1 Nursing/PA trainee) will be awarded free conference registration and $500 travel funds to attend ACRM 2025 in Toronto.
  • Post-conference, award recipients will be required to write a short summary of their experience attending the NASPAG meeting.
  • The deadline for submissions is January 10th, 2025.

ESSAY TOPICS

Topic #1: “The NASPAG ACRM has presentations focusing on many different content areas ranging from Dermatology/Pediatric Vulvovaginal Disorders to Advocacy/Reproductive Health. What content area are you the most interested in from the clinical, research/innovation or advocacy perspective. How will attending the NASPAG ACRM help to further your knowledge and understanding of that subject?

Topic #2: “Pediatric and adolescent patients are front and center of many public health “crises” such as mental health and childhood obesity. As a young professional-in-training how do you anticipate your participation in the NASPSG ACRM could help you deepen your understanding of these challenges and advance inclusive reproductive healthcare for our pediatric and adolescent patients?”
