ACRM 2024

Our theme for this year was Standing Strong Together to support the reproductive health of our youth. This year’s meeting was developed with a mission focused on action-oriented dissemination of knowledge to affect change. It is with this vision that we worked to create a program with a balance of content that also allows for networking and creative collaboration with leaders in PAG and beyond.

We have an exciting program planned! Our plenary speakers represent a multidisciplinary group of nationally and internationally renowned leaders discussing essential topics:

•Dr. Rebecka Peebles *Evaluation and Management of 'Atypical' Anorexia in the Adolescent Female

•Dr. Leslie Appiah *State of the Union: Reproductive Health Care in Populations Receiving Fertotoxic Therapies

•Dr. Matias Bruzoni *Weight Loss Surgery among Adolescents

•Dr. Geri Hewitt *Benign Ovarian Disease: What we know and what we are doing to decrease unindicated oophorectomy Additional plenary highlights:

•Drs. Jason Jarin, Kate Stambough, May Lau and Licensed Social Worker Amanda Verhaak will present a panel plenary on Care of Youth in Access-Limited States

•Dr. Karen Carpenter who hails from The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus in Jamaica will join us to discuss Talking to Children & Adolescents about Sexuality: Whose Responsibility is it?

•Dr. Marisa Labovsy, current President of the International Federation of Paediatric and Adolescent Gynecology (FIGIJ) will present on: The Journey to Increasing Access to Reproductive Health Services in Latin America. Argentina: Achievements and Challenges.

We have engaging and interactive workshops and roundtable sessions directed toward the needs of multidisciplinary adult learners at various career stages. Mainstage platform and poster sessions will showcase the latest developments in research and there will be opportunities for hands-on training and simulation sessions. We anticipate a number of international delegates with a significant representation from Latin America and will have our first roundtable conducted entirely in Spanish. This year we are also excited to have the return of the faculty debates where Drs. Nichole Tyson and Sari Kives will go head-to-head discussing the management of ovarian torsion “To Pexy or not to Pexy,” and Drs. Divasta and Romano will debate the controversial topic “Use of Obesity Drugs in Adolescents.” New this year, we introduce a luncheon panel lead by JPAG Editor in Chief, Dr. Paula Hillard. Networking remains a cornerstone of the ACRM and as we continue to build our NASPAG family, we have as a priority, maintenance of a sense of community. There will be many opportunities for networking throughout the ACRM through attending special interest groups, the Welcome Reception, Fun Run and the poster sessions.

We are thrilled to introduce our Inaugural Gala which will be held on April 5th. The gala will be a fun occasion to dress up and unwind with friends who, like you, are so dedicated to our unique PAG specialty.

It has been an honor and pleasure to serve as your Program Chair and I look forward to welcoming you at the 38th Annual Clinical and Research Meeting April 4th-6th, 2024 in Orlando, Florida.

Best Wishes, Gyl Gylynthia Elaine Trotman, MD MPH FACOG Program Chair, 2024 NASPAG ACRM
