CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

The North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology (NASPAG) has established the Young Scholars Grant to provide a venue for young physicians to voice their interest in the field of pediatric and adolescent gynecology.

 

OBJECTIVES
To allow physicians-in-training a venue to express their interest in pediatric and adolescent gynecology.

AWARD
Three award recipients will be chosen and expected to attend the NASPAG Annual Clinical and Research Meeting (ACRM) from April 11-13, 2019 at the New Orleans Marriott in New Orleans, LA. The winner will receive free registration to the ACRM and a $500 stipend to defray the costs of travel and hotel while at the meeting. The winning essay will be publicized at the ACRM. Award recipients will be notified by February 27, 2018.

GUIDELINES FOR APPLICANTS
This contest is open to physicians-in-training (residents, fellows, and medical students in any specialty). To apply for the grant, please submit an essay on the topic of:

"What has inspired you to attend the NASPAG ACRM and how will you use this experience in your future career and practice?"


The essay should be no longer than 3 typewritten pages and should be formatted in Times New Roman font, 12 point, and double-spaced. Please do not include your name or contact information on the essay; contact information should be included on this form only.

 

APPLICATION DEADLINE

All applications must be received by February 21, 2019.  

 

NOTIFICATION 

Award recipients will be notified by February 27, 2019 so that they can arrange all travel and coverage to attend the NASPAG Annual Clinical and Research Meeting (ACRM) from April 11-13, 2019 in New Orleans, LA.

 

FOLLOW-UP

All award essays will be publicized at the ACRM. Immediately following the conference, all award recipients will be required to write a short summary of their experience at the NASPAG ACRM to be included in future NASPAG publications such as the NASPAG member newsletter. Please email your essay to hq@naspag.org

Please note, award recipients will not receive their stipend until after their essay is received.
