CALL FOR APPLICATIONS

The North American Society of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology (NASPAG) has established the Young Scholars Grant to provide a venue for advanced practice nursing students (Nurse Practitioners and Nurse Midwives) to voice their interest in the field of pediatric and adolescent gynecology.

 

 

OBJECTIVES
To allow advanced practice nurses (nurse practitioners and nurse midwives) in training a venue to express their interest in pediatric and adolescent gynecology.

AWARD
One award recipient will be chosen and the winner will be expected to attend the NASPAG Annual Clinical and Research Meeting (ACRM) from April 11-13, 2019 at the New Orleans Marriott in New Orleans, LA. The winner will receive free registration to the ACRM and a $500 stipend to defray the costs of travel and hotel while at the meeting. The winning essay will be publicized at the ACRM. Award recipients will be notified by February 27, 2018.

GUIDELINES FOR APPLICANTS
To apply for the grant, please submit an essay on the topic of:

"Describe an interesting pediatric/ adolescent gynecology case that you have been involved in during your clinical rotations and how this conference would benefit you in school as well as in your future practice."


The essay should be no longer than 3 typewritten pages and should be formatted in Times New Roman font, 12 point, and double-spaced.

 

APPLICATION DEADLINE

All applications must be received by February 21, 2019.  

 

NOTIFICATION 

Award recipients will be notified by February 27, 2019 so that they can arrange all travel and coverage to attend the NASPAG Annual Clinical and Research Meeting (ACRM) from April 11-13, 2019 in New Orleans, LA.


FOLLOW-UP

All award essays will be publicized at the ACRM. Immediately following the conference, all award recipients will be required to write a short summary of their experience at the NASPAG ACRM to be included in future NASPAG publications such as the NASPAG member newsletter. Please email your essay to hq@naspag.org.

Please note, award recipients will not receive their stipend until after their essay is received.
