NASPAG Mentorship Program. Call for Applications for 2018 ACRM.


The NASPAG Mentorship Program is a new offering to support junior PAG researchers. 

The program seeks to provide:

-          Meaningful, individualized research mentorship.

-          Opportunities for face to face mentoring at the annual ACRM.

This program is intended for fellows and junior faculty (<5 years out from training, from any specialty) interested in mentorship from national leaders (outside their home institution) in PAG research for one year. 

Mentees are expected to:

-          Be a NASPAG member.

-          Submit an application (outlined below).

-          Attend the 2018 ACRM to meet with your mentor.

-          Provide a Concept Paper and Questions to be given to the mentor prior to the 2018 ACRM.

-          Connect with your mentor every 8-12 weeks for 12 months.

-          Present your project /experience at the following ACRM (2019).


Each applicant should submit by February 23, 2018:

(1) NIH-style Bio sketch

(2) Personal statement (1 page) - research training, career and academic goals, and why additional mentorship would be helpful to applicant

(3) Project outline (1 page) - brief background and significance, aims and hypotheses, study population, and current institutional mentor

(4) List of researchers whom applicant would like to work with as potential mentor and/or areas of research expertise desired in a mentor (Optional)

(5) Letter of recommendation (1 page) from home institution research mentor, fellowship training program director, or Division Chief.
