Educational Webinar in Partnership with Tolmar: GnRHa Treatment: Long-Term Implications for Children with Central Precocious PubertyLearning Objectives:
Her research has focused on pubertal development and individualized treatment decisions in central precocious puberty, including work on predicted adult height during GnRH agonist therapy. She has also published single-center studies from Rady Children’s evaluating the incidence of central precocious puberty during and after the COVID-19 pandemic; one study found that CPP cases requiring GnRH agonist treatment more than doubled during the first pandemic year, while a follow-up study found that rates declined toward pre-pandemic levels in subsequent years. Dr. Vargas Trujillo earned her medical degree from Universidad de Antioquia, completed pediatric residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, and completed fellowship training in pediatric endocrinology at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC. Her broader publication record also includes studies in pediatric endocrine evaluation, neuroendocrine regulation of puberty, and differences of sex development. This webinar is FREE for all NASPAG members. The cost for non-members is $10 Register Here |
