I’m honored and excited to step into the role of President for the next two years. NASPAG has been the core foundation of my professional life, and I’m grateful for the trust you’ve placed in me to lead our brilliant and vibrant NASPAG community.
This is a truly special moment in time for NASPAG. As we celebrate our 40th anniversary, we have the opportunity to reflect on and honor four decades of remarkable impact in pediatric and adolescent gynecology—through education, research, advocacy, and outstanding clinical care. At the same time, it gives us the perfect springboard to launch into the future, together.
My presidency goals are straightforward and collaborative:
- Bring together our beloved senior leaders and mentors, brilliant mid-career NASPAG colleagues and our excited and early career future NASPAG leaders to foster meaningful connections and advance our field
- Grow our endowment and funds to secure NASPAG’s future
To make this a true team effort:
- I’m launching a listening tour to hear directly from you. I want to hear all the NASPAG voices and have your input shape the future of our organization. This is your opportunity to share your experiences, challenges, ideas, and priorities in a one-to-one conversation. I want to better understand the issues that matter most, uncover new opportunities, and build a stronger, more responsive NASPAG that serves all its members. Your input will help guide NASPAGs strategic direction and initiatives. I invite all members to connect with me during this Listening Tour. Please book a meeting here (I aimed to capture many dates and times, but please email me at [email protected]if you have preferred times/dates that I have not listed here):calendly.com/ntysonmd/30-minute-meeting. I look forward to hearing from you!
- We will develop a refreshed strategic plan together. I look forward to partnering with our Board, David Macek (our exceptional Executive Director), committees, SIGs, and JPAG to create a more unified and cohesive NASPAG voice. By weaving a consistent thread through all of our work — from consensus statements and patient handouts to advocacy efforts, educational initiatives, and beyond — we will amplify our impact and speak with greater clarity and strength as one organization.
I’d like to formally introduce our 2026–2027 Board:
- Immediate Past President: Krista Childress, MD
- President-Elect: Patricia Huguelet, MD
- Secretary: Amy Divasta, MD

- Members at Large: Megan Jacobs, MD, Alla Vash Margita MD, Akua Afriyie-Gray, MD, Lauren Kanner MD, Nancy Sokkary, MD, Lauren Wozniak MD

I’m genuinely looking forward to this journey with all of you.
Together, we’ll keep NASPAG strong, inclusive, and forward-moving for all of the young patients and families we serve.
Warmly,
Nichole Tyson, MD
