NASPAG update regarding the Coronavirus

I’m writing to you today to share information regarding our Annual Clinic and Research Meeting (ACRM) taking place on April 2-4, 2020 and COVID-19. As of today, we are still planning to hold the ACRM and are excited that you will be joining us in Grapevine.

The safety of our members, employees, guests, and those who are participating in the meeting is of paramount concern. NASPAG is closely monitoring advisories and updates from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO). We are following the expertise and guidance provided by the CDC and WHO and are working with state departments of health, local authorities, and event venues to make informed decisions about our upcoming meetings. Currently, no public health authority in the United States is advising the cancellations of gatherings such as our meeting.

We recognize that this is a rapidly evolving situation. We encourage anyone who would prefer to not attend the meeting, or their Institution has requested they do not travel to please notify NASPAG BEFORE March 10. Our cancellation policy allows to reimburse your registration minus $100 administrative fee. If your Country or the United States establishes a ban on travel or assembly during the dates of our meeting, NASPAG will refund the full registration. Most importantly, if you have a respiratory illness or fever, we advise you to stay home.

It is important to us that we stay connected in the coming days. NASPAG will be providing updates through emails like this one, and on our website at

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

My mother, Elena T. Sanfilippo died over the Thanksgiving holiday at 103 y/a. She was the oldest living graduate from Brooklyn Law School when she was honored several months ago. She always emphasized the importance of education, leading me to establish the Sanfilippo Young Scholars Development Fund at NASPAG. This is an Open Fund designed to enhance young talented individuals committed to enhancing the reproductive health of girls and young women. Joe Sanfilippo

Please donate in her honor by checking the box on the donation page.

This is an Open Fund for Ongoing Contributions in his honor.

Joe Sanfilippo MD, MBA was a founding father of NASPAG, Executive Director as well as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology. After many years of service to NASPAG we celebrate with establishment of the “SANFILIPPO YOUNG SCHOLARS DEVELOPMENT FUND.”
