Stump the Professors

NASPAG 2014 STUMP THE PROFESSORS

The NASPAG ACRM Program Committee invites you to submit a challenging case, a diagnostic dilemma, or unusual pathology to Stump Our Professors. Stump the Professor cases will be presented in PowerPoint format on Friday, April 25, 2014 from 12:15pm - 1:00pm during the 2014 Annual Clinical and Research Meeting in Philadelphia, PA. Case reports will be accepted from any student, resident or fellow in training.  


The deadline for submitting a case summary is Friday, February 14, 2014 please use the online form for your submission. Guidelines for submission are listed below. Thank you.

GUIDELINES

  1. You must plan to be a registered attendee of the 2014 NASPAG meeting in Philadelphia, PA, April 24-26, 2014 to submit your case. 
  2. Three cases will be selected for platform presentation.   
  3. If your case is selected you will be asked to present at the podium of the general session to Panelists:
    • Paige Hertweck, MD; Estherann Grace, MD; Paula Hillard, MD
    • Moderator: Melissa Kottke, MD 
  4. You will need to create a PowerPoint slide show from your case if your submission is selected.  You are encouraged to include imaging studies and photographs to illustrate your presentation.  Deadline for slide submission is Friday, March 14, 2014. 
  5. Each case presentation will be limited to 10 minutes and after the panel and audience discussion, you will be asked to reveal the final diagnosis.  
  6. If your case is selected you will also be required to submit a manuscript for publication in JPAG.  
  7. Please make sure all case information is deidentified. 

TO SUBMIT YOUR CASE

Please complete the online submission form . Your submission should be no more than 600 words. You are encouraged to include imaging studies and photographs to illustrate your presentation. If you have imaging studies and/or photographs you would like to submit to supplement your case report please email the digital file to  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Case Report Format

Age of patient, chief complaint, detailed history of the present illness, relevant past, family, social history, positive ROS, relevant physical findings, relevant lab results, differential diagnosis, and any procedures performed. Include the final diagnosis (which will be withheld from the panelists).

 

All patient identifiers or other identifying information MUST BE REMOVED.

 

NOTIFICATION 

Email notification regarding acceptance for presentation at the ACRM will be made at the end of February.
